Storage health

IndexedDB is the only copy unless you download a backup. Browsers may reclaim space, and clearing site data removes everything.

Portable copy

Backup and restore

Download a complete JSON backup, including archived and trashed resumes, master profiles and local image assets. The file is checked for corruption before anything is restored.

Restore from backup file

JSON only, up to 19 MB. Existing resumes with the same ID are kept and the imported one becomes a copy.

Interoperable content

Import JSON Resume

Import resume content as a new local resume. Layout and artwork from other apps are not part of JSON Resume.

Master profiles

A master profile copies your content, contact details and section order into a new blank resume with a fresh resume ID and revision history. Existing resumes are never changed.

Destructive

Clear all resumes

Moves every active resume on this device to trash. Nothing is deleted permanently; you can restore from the trash section. Export a backup first if you are not sure.

Optional vault

Passphrase vault

Encrypt a backup with a passphrase using AES-GCM. The passphrase is never stored and cannot be recovered; a wrong passphrase fails to decrypt.
